Sedation Dentistry in Murphy, TX
Sedation Dentistry
We understand that dental procedures can often lead to anxiety and discomfort for many patients. That's why at Murphy Dental and Implant Center, we offer a comprehensive range of sedation dentistry options to ensure your experience is as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

Nitrous Oxide Sedation
Often known as 'laughing gas', nitrous oxide is a safe and effective sedative that is inhaled through a small mask fitting over your nose. It helps patients relax during their procedure, and its effects wear off quickly once the mask is removed, allowing you to return to your normal activities immediately after treatment.

Oral Sedation
Oral sedation involves taking a prescribed medication before your procedure, which helps you to feel calm and relaxed throughout the treatment. The level of sedation can be adjusted to fit your needs, making it a versatile option. It's important to note that oral sedation can cause drowsiness, so arranging a ride home post-procedure is necessary.

IV Conscious Sedation
IV conscious sedation is administered directly into the bloodstream for a quick and adjustable level of sedation. This method allows you to be conscious and capable of responding to commands, but you will likely have little to no memory of the procedure afterwards. As with oral sedation, you will need someone to drive you home following the procedure.

Anesthesiologist-Administered Sedation
For patients with higher levels of dental anxiety or those undergoing complex procedures, we can arrange for an anesthesiologist to administer deeper sedation right in our office. This method ensures that you're in a state of deep relaxation throughout the procedure, with most patients remembering very little or nothing of their treatment.
We will work closely with you to determine which sedation option best suits your needs, ensuring your comfort and safety at all times. Your comfort is our priority, and our sedation dentistry options can help make your visit a positive experience.
