Dr. Jenny Tai is an accomplished dentist with a unique skill set, having completed a rigorous four-year, dual-specialty program at the University of Pennsylvania, earning her a periodontal prosthesis certificate. This extensive training has rendered her proficient in cosmetic, restorative, periodontic, and implant dentistry, distinguishing her as one of the few dentists in Texas with such comprehensive expertise.
Her devotion to knowledge-sharing earned her the “Best Teacher” title from the Department of Periodontics at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Tai's significant contributions to the field continue to impact the students of the graduate prosthodontics program at the Texas A&M University College of Dentistry, where she served as a clinical adjunct professor.
General and Cosmetic Dentistry
Dr. Erica Chan, a proud University of California, Davis graduate, completed her Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior as a distinguished Regents Scholarship recipient. Her educational journey continued at Midwestern University, Illinois, where she secured her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, graduating at the top of her class. After practicing in Indiana, Dr. Chan relocated to North Dallas, making it home for her family.
Renowned for her excellent clinical skills and compassionate nature, Dr. Chan prioritizes effective communication and patient education to achieve superior clinical outcomes. As a general dentist, she harbors a keen interest in clear aligner treatments and digital dentistry, constantly updating her knowledge through continual education. Outside her profession, Dr. Chan is an avid traveler and a devoted mother, with the joy of exploring 17 countries and counting with her family.

Dr. Ling, alongside Dr. Tai and Dr. Chan, co-powers Murphy Dental and Implant Center, serving as a Board-certified periodontist and implant surgeon. Renowned for his compassionate care and expert skills, his journey intertwines with Dr. Tai's since their dental school days. Both pursued advanced training at the University of Pennsylvania, where Dr. Ling earned his Certificate in Periodontics and received the esteemed Director's Award for his exceptional clinical performance and dedication to patient care. His prestigious periodontal and dental implant surgery certifications hail from the American Board of Periodontology.
Dr. Ling's influence has left a significant imprint on the dental community. Following his graduation from residency and subsequent move to Dallas, he served as an adjunct assistant professor at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry. During his tenure, he mentored post-graduate residents in planning and executing dental implant surgeries, reaffirming his commitment to sharing knowledge and advancing the field.

Dr. Tai and her team was amazing today! I had an appt set for 10 am got there early and was out in 30 mins. I had an impacted wisdom tooth under the gum. I highly recommend Dr. Ted Ling. He is, without a doubt, the BEST doctor -- periodontist, dentist, I have ever encountered. Even though I had very extensive work and surgeries, I had very minimal pain and absolutely no complications. All went so smoothly and my mouth is in great shape. I love all my implants!
